Adam’s First Blog Post

Welcome to my blog! My name is Adam and this is my soapbox.

Starting my own personal blog is something I’ve always wanted to do. Having written for a handful of other pages in the past, I’ve often wondered what it would be like to sit in the drivers seat of my own site. Now is the time where I’m finally turning those aspirations into action, and this is what I have to show for it.

This site is created by me, for me. These words I will be sharing come straight from my heart and are as raw as they are real. You may have noticed that the title of this column says that it’s my first blog post despite my previous work on other sites. I purposely put it that way because for the first time ever, I am posting without any filters. This is my real first blog post because, for better or worse, it’s the start of me giving you the uncensored version of me that no one has ever seen before.

For those who have been following my previous work, this blog may seem like quite a deviation from what you might have come to expect from me. In addition to my focus now being on editorial writings, I’m also going to be doing some storytelling here. The topics are also going to be a bit different and some of these posts are going to be coming from dark places. No matter the topic however, these posts will be shared with a cheerful optimism because even in the darkest of places, light and joy can still be found.

Now that that’s all out of the way, stick around and grab some popcorn. Maybe you just might even find some of my words and ramblings useful. Writing has always been therapeutic for me, and if my words can somehow make someone in a bad place feel even just a little bit better, I will consider this blog a success.

Anyway, I hope you’ll enjoy your stay. Until we meet again in a different post, later! 🙂

-Adam
